Knee Arthritis: Correctives & Resistance Training Solutions

Arthritis of the knee is VERY common in older adults. During this session, Evan and Robert will review arthritic limitations and issues of the knee; corrective exercises to assist in improving arthritic symptoms; and resistance training exercises specifically targeted to the knee to help prevent further pain, discomfort and improve strength, stability and more!
Attendees will learn about arthritic limitations; the “how” and “why” the knee is affected so badly by arthritis and what movements make an arthritic knee so uncomfortable.
Attendees will learn four specifically targeted corrective exercises that will assist the arthritic knee improve its mobility, stability and ability
Attendees will learn resistance training techniques specifically targeted on assisting the anthric knee improve its strength, stability and agility

Robert Linkul is the owner of Be STRONGER Fitness, a personal training studio for older adults in Sacramento, California and the owner of TrainingTheOlderAdult.com, an online continued education provider for fitness professionals. Robert is an internationally known presenter known for his teachings on resistance training strategies for the older adult with physical limitations and/or a decreased quality of life. Linkul has his master’s degree in sports science with an emphasis in personal training, is the NSCA's 2012 Personal Trainer of the Year award winner and a 2017 NSCA Fellowship inductee.
